Summer Cine

Sunday morning and afternoon was my "gym time", where I spent hours on the treadmill (walking, not running, no worries) and took part in Zumba class. After all this gym time I was feeling good, and when my Dad suggested dinner and a movie, I was feeling even better!

We originally were going to see Bad Teacher, but after I checked critics ratings and showing times, we changed our minds and went to Midnight in Paris. I absolutely loved the film! I had no preconceived notions of what the movie might have been like, considering I had seen one preview and was completely confused by that; this helped, because I went in expecting nothing and left completely pleased and intellectually stimulated (a little, not a lot, don't get too antsy). The movie ended up being more about a blast to the past, mixing in the nostalgic artists, writers, and icons from the twenties with modern day life. While I don't want to give up too much about the movie, I will tell you that it takes a number of jabs at society and groups of today, particularly the tea party, which provided some of those "funny and true" moments. Whoever wrote this movie obviously studied hard in their Art History and Literature classes, because they had everything pretty historically accurate, while intertwining a lot of comedic relief.

So, with that movie being said, here are the summer movies that I am dying to see. Some are just for fun, and some look super interesting. Let me know if you want to join!
